Speaking of memes, I'm thinking of getting an Apple Watch, because I believe that would be a powerful addition to my repertoire. What do you thunk Nameless.

You mean a 'Smart' watch? What's so damn smart about them? Do they think? Feel? Emote? Waste of money for a trendy piece of jewelry.

Then why wouldn't you get a regular watch? I had a $20 watch and it told me the time before I lost it, imagine losing a $200+ technowatch. Don't you have a fitbit or whatever for all of your cal/km/hrtbt tracking? Srsly, what's the point if you aren't a huge gamer nerd who wants to look like the protagonist of R1P? Also, is it 2016? It's 2018 and, bruh, 2016 was literally and figuratively a million years ago

I feel like a wood watch is more your vegetarian speed, Obscure. Your body's natural oils keep the wood parts properly hydrated, and it's probably the lightest timepiece you can put on your wrist. I had one, and I'd often forget I was wearing it.

Not a joke. My parents bought me one as a gift after they went to Alaska, and I really liked it. I have some pretty expensive watches, and none one of them gets the compliments that my cheap wood watch got. The only nuisance is that it was quartz, which meant replacing batteries, but there are apparently some automatic ones out there.

In other wood-hydrating news, I just finished rubbing my new butcher block with mineral oils, which puts me one step closer to hosting the Hannibal-style dinner party I've been imagining for years.

Cool 2018 list, Jules; my own would currently look like:

Black Panther 8.5
A Quiet Place 8.5
Annihilation 8
Ready Player One 7.5

Guess I"m lucky to not have any real disappointment for the year so far; here's hoping my luck holds out when I (probably) see Isle Of Dogs tomorrow!
