As a non-gamer, I find them enjoyably narrative.

They do seem pretty brand-centered though. I think there's potential for independents in the same format. I'd play a Telltale version of Andy Christ (Gorb's comic) is what I'm saying.

The couple I've played are okay.

It's a good thing that other place shut down their forums so they could focus on the important stuff, like prematurely burying John Carpenter.

Some stole my bicycle seat and cut my bike's brakes and did the same to two of my neighbors. Some local meth head is rolling in bicycle seat level money laughing about how we can't stop.

That's odd... why wouldn't he just steal the entire bike?

Maybe the rest of the bike was locked up.

Bike had a lock on it. Still, whoever did this probably was not in their right mind. I guess it was the shifter cable(not the brakes) but that still doesn't make sense.

Carpenter's response was marvelous.

Trenchcoat, as a man about town, what do you do with all the screenplays you write?

Same question to anyone else who's a man about town with screenplays.

I don't know where you're located, but if you're in proximity of Toronto, then you can find the local Writers Guild of Canada, where you can get a membership and find an agent to represent you. It's basically a networking game. Luck of the hand in which you can place it.

You can enter them in various contests but those are crapshoots with varying degrees of usefulness. Other than that, networking to get them into someone's hands. Which I haven't really done. I also haven't been writing this past year. I wrote something for last year's Nick fellowship and now I'm trying to write something for this year. And not much in between.

I was hoping to enter Nicholl this year with two scripts, but I'm not sure if I'll be done either of them or even if entering two is a good idea.

Is this only for Canadian jobs? I was sort of hoping more for ~big time Hollywood~ stuff.

I was thinking of what would be most convenient. And I understand that Toronto has a pretty vibrant film production community. But, yeah, it might be easier to exploit Trenchcoat's swank Muholland connections instead.

Also, I know that DaMU has entered scripts into contests to some success, and he's also an angel dweller. If he doesn't read this, I wouldn't think he'd mind a PM for info.

That pie eating scene is one of my favorites of the year. It's like they didn't bother to say 'cut' and she ate the whole damn pie.

Mr. Woodcock.

PS - So there's a small plot description for the new Untitled/1969 movie that Tarantino is putting together for August 2019. It's on the IMDB page. So far it centers around the Manson murders. But man, that's gonna be a long wait. Looks like Star Trek is gonna be a ways off because the new project is already in pre-production.

It's unfortunately necessary, at least in Hollywood. Studios don't tend to read "unsolicited" scripts, so getting representation through the guild is the best way to go, I think. At least an agent would be able to delegate some of the networking for you. But there will be favors.

If they decided to Christopher Plummer Jeffrey Tambor, it would actually be appropriate for the material.

While it's kind of a clichéd gig for a budding screenwriter, there's good money to be made in the taxi, Uber or Lyft businesses.

Just get a stupid haircut and become a YouTuber. Talk into the camera about Beanie Babies or some shit. Just be sure to throw in jump cuts after every breath and DON'T say the N-word. Boom, you're an online millionaire, payable in Bitcoin. You'll be swimming in fidget spinners and have all the Tide Pods you can eat.

Logan Paul killed youtube dead. Pew Die Pie was phase one but the ritual is now complete. The internet's a barren wasteland.

That's where streaming comes in, you just need a webcam and a room full of styrofoam and cats. Only question at that point is "Twitch or Chaturbate?"

I know people swear it's real, but I can never get past the fact that somebody slapped together that fake science-y name to make it sound extra-legit because "brain orgasm" was too icky.
