So far I'm only seeing a notorious lack of both capital letters and tantalizing banners.

No ornate banner. No capital letters. No photos of Izzy's gaping holes. Thread is a failure before it even began.

 Re: Izzy's Black Hole
Yeah, I mean. I only have two ratings: recommended and not recommended, and that one is right on the line. I don't think it was a particularly good movie, but if I think a film has anything worth checking out, I'll recommend it. It's not a glowing endorsement of course, but the film has a great look. The intro is aping Kubrick something awful though. Also, a good performance from the lead.

In return you get the opportunity to know my list in advance. You can't beat that.

I'll take your word for it re subverting mythology as I don't care for vampires or their narratives outside of Heckerling's Vamps, but I know what you mean. It does look pretty damn good throughout, and it made me know/like Gemma Arterton. But it was mostly turgid, I found.

Byzantium looks good. Last vampire movie I saw was Vamps. Which was great. I liked Jordan's Interview, back in the day. I was obsessed with Kirsten Dunst then and would follow her everywhere. I mean as a spectator. God.

Kristen Dunst was great too, further proof of how underrated she is an actress. Anyways, Byzantium is good. I think if you approach it with an auteurst lens and sympathies for a deconstructionist reading, it fares better than when read as a straightforward narrative (which I agree with most critics the story isn't anything special or too interesting on its own).

I imagine we turn more readers away than we attract. At least I try to indent more. I used to just write massive walls of texts with no spacing. Beau too, if I'm not mistaken.
