There's a new D'Angelo album coming this month. Watch it be amazing and completely fuck up every website that can't wait until January to make a best of list.

I sold Natural Snow Building's Laurie Bird cdr for $65. It had been listed for maybe five minutes.

So much good shit it seems like coming out this month and you never know nowadays when someone's going to drop a surprise album. I wouldn't be surprised if Kanye or Kendrick did just that as it seems they both have a completed album (also so much for 6 TDE projects in 2014!!!). Been bumping the new Ariel Pink and the Ferg mixtape recently, which surprised me by how much I like it.

Also if anyone has a what.cd invite they'd like to shoot my way i'd be eternally grateful! :)

what.cd disables my acccount (even with a good ratio) without explanation. That site really pisses me off. And that IRC thing doesn't work.

just checked the logs, you got booted for suspected real life trading, a guy called Curtis Duffings claims you sold him a rip of the new Jamie Lynn Spears EP and the last track "Big Bad World" was missing, seems a little implausible that someone would randomly make that up to spite you so straighten up your act and I might give you a second chance some day

Never really used rym (and have no idea how they contributed to any hype) but I followed NSB from the jump (for better or worse) until they were clearly going to release every thing ever, disregarding any kind of quality control. Some of the early releases hold up, the solo releases were pretty uniformly boring.

I like Ain't That Easy, Another Life, Prayer and Sugah Daddy a lot, from the D'Angelo album. The rest kind of floats by pleasantly.

Still hoping to find something else to obsess over the way I did with the Ben Khan EP and the Jungle album

Can you believe that nerd Godard bedded BOTH Anne Wiazemsky and Anna Karina? Now that's unbelievable.

Whenever I can find something absolutely nowhere else, and a physical copy is expensive, soulseek usually comes to my rescue. you can probably fuck up bad if you go around using it for the latest major stuff, but it's probably the single most comprehensive underground/rare old music resource on the internet.

Remember Mark McGuire limited edition cassettes 2007-2009? Dude was just hammering out quality stuff.

Oh shit, that's you?! I just logged in for the first time in two years after you mentioned the forum. Sorry to hear about Adam, as I said on F&A, you have my sincerest condolences. Were you on RT as well, and if so what was your name? If it was GD, I may not be familiar.

Yeah I weirdly remembered it existed earlier today and then the subject of Natural Snow Buildings came up on here. Life is strange. Genuinely thought I'd get a 404 when I went to it but no it's still there somehow.

And nah, I wasn't on RT. I didn't come to this place through any other forum.

I see. I suppose I just assumed that anyone here was on RT at some point, it being such small place. Glad you're here and that I made my way back over here after all this time, believe I had only lurked previously.

I'm struggling to remember if Natural Snow Buildings had really good stuff beyond 2008 and 2009, where they just dropped a TON of records and tapes (like, over 10, I think), and most of them were really good (Laurie Bird was probably my favorite, and the one with that really odd 'Home is where you're happy' cover at the end of the record).
