The AR-16 scene seemed like it was in bad taste since the movie came out shortly after the Texas church shooting.

It's also the best scene in the movie, heh.

Well, that event certainly didn't help, but I still feel that scene would've been in bad taste, having a fantastical Thor character use a real assault rifle that's killed plenty of real people to fight Hela's army, what with this country's already way too high level of gun violence. I know Waitit's from New Zealand, so he may not have been aware of how that scene might play in the States, but still, unintentional bad taste is still bad taste.

There's nothing wrong with the gun scene in Ragnarok. By your logic any movie that has guns in it is in bad taste. You're obviously too hypersensitive to enjoy Ragnarok. Maybe you should stick with My Little Pony or Daddy's Home 2.
