I didn't know you lived on a football field.

LT used to be in advertisements for an artificial lawn company in San Diego. I live in a rented house, so it's within the realm of possibility that the owners would have considered it as a good alternative to having renters who didn't take care of their lawn. Also, since we're speaking entirely in metaphor, it is within reason that my metaphorical universe includes a football field for every house. Especially in metonym.

Metonymy is commonly used but uncommonly known about.

I think you just got weary of using the word "metaphor."

I've seen it about 5 times, because it was one of the movies I was allowed to play in the video store where I worked.

It's . . . okay.

Much like Cars, I had some trouble with the "internal logic" of the allegorical world.

Bee Movie was alright. Its message was...decent I guess. I kind of saw it coming ahead of time and it was pretty simplistic, but I still appreciated the (at best) skin deep layer it provided even though I'm not sure it was worth all the buildup.

Great meme though.

I'm going to stick this here because if it's not on the list, that means not enough of you have seen it.

yeah I don't understand that. I assume it's all very tongue-in-cheek but by god our generation is going to die of irony poisoning.

Memes can definitely be annoying when they get overused. I'm still recovering from the Damn, Daniel meme.

It's Such a Beautiful Day would be my choice for greatest movie of this decade, considering that question has been going around social media lately.

I would put Into the Spiderverse and even World of Tomorrow above It's Such a Beautiful Day, but that's not at all a slam against it. I found the Spiderman movie to be one of the most enjoyable and visually immersive films I've seen this decade, and World of Tomorrow is my preferred intersection of line animation and depression.
