On the internet, no one can hear you refresh.
Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish - a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow - to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whiskey, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested. Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll.

And it was written by a 23-year-old. It's a very mature album when you think about it that way.

But then again, all their 60s-70s stuff is mint. Severely under-appreciated band.

I've missed that guy. Since getting rid of my facebook I'd hoped to stay in contact with him at least via this place.

But hey, if he's happy and getting laid, I don't blame him. Good for him, etc.

I mean, I remember when the most recent posts were shown on the home page. I guess I'm not sure why such active forums, with all the traffic they imply, were allowed to decay. Most dead forums I've encountered wittled out on their own, with final posts months and even years apart. This was more like parental neglect.

Twitter, or Facebook. Blogs are on the downturn as well.

Alas, searching for anything on Facebook is worthy of Frodo's trip to Mount Doom, so I'm predicting a return to blogs when people realize Facebook's idea of archiving content is like Scrooge McDuck's money management philosophy: an infinite dump in a massive pool. Of course, one hundred dollar bill is as good as any other, so McDuck wasn't so stupid.

Depends on your definition of obsolete as both twitter and facebook are awful in communal bonding terms, forums are still the best tool for strong communities, twitter is basically the fast food of internet communication, and facebook isn't far off of that, all about ego and accumulation of status rather than meaningful discussion.

Facebook is great... for keeping track of old friends. I typically only check it if some notification gets sent to my email. Internet 3.0 or whatever we're on now is all about obsoleting the past in the fastest time frame possible. Twitter even obsoletes the time it takes to read an entire paragraph. Email and message boards for life!

He's making films that look real good.

I wish twitter would allow me to search my own tweets in a way easier than downloading an archive. Searching your followers' is effective, but doesn't include yourself.
