Incredible digital art. (Warning: CPU intensive eye-sex)

I'm pretty involved in that scene, so I thought I'd share some of the stuff that's really struck me. Artist name below the piece. If you want to post something, do so.

All are interesting, but this one made me chuckle. A steam-punk dirigible! Nifty.
Do I like this one best because it's somewhat more "recognizable?"

 Good stuff. That one by wrong-code is a striking portrait, although I'd prefer it without the "Rebel" and such.

You disappoint me with the lack of eyegasm.

EC is one of the best designers I can think of. His work is striking stylistically, completely original and amazingly clean. Great colors as well.

Yeah - the Wrong Code piece would probably be better without the 'rebel' typography up top but the vector is what's striking about it.

You can download it for a larger more wallpaperish size on the artist's deviantart I believe.

And yes - it's a nice tribute to the late, great producer as well. Love the details that go right down to the brand he's using for his mixing. The reflection is amazingly well made.

If only dense cities were this clean and inviting.
I like all the things in the air. There are at least clouds, but also birds a heli and a jet. edit: Oh, I spotted another jet.
By contrast, other than the hulking forms of buildings (styled to be lightweight in aspect) there is very little ground traffic. Is everyone inside? I suppose the birds clustered on an exposed utility wire are between groundlings and objects of the sky!

By my friend and teammate on an art site, Lian.

If I kept the correct link, [edit: which I didn't, but I fixed it] I find this limited color palette interesting. I'm sort of a monochromist in some cases, but as I've aged I am drawn to more color. It might have happened during all those years of designing graphic slides for my videos. I'd go back and forth between very colorful and monochromatic. The very colorful didn't always translate very well to VHS format...which all my clients used to send out the viewable copies of the motion pictures I created for them.

Still if this is the one with reds, grays and blacks, I like it. It would work well on video (except, in VHS the reds would ghost to the right of the image, blurring and smearing disgustingly.)

A riot of color. Forms that are interrupted by whimsy, and a cool sword. I love the attitude of the leaping figure. I like the background.

Somehow this smacks of good kid's book illustration, although I don't think it was meant to be. I like the design of the figure with the bicycle. I like the overall emotional response I get to the picture. An adventure awaits, but there is something dismal in the air that you can just feel.

After reading most of Neil Gaiman's Sandman, this is awesome. All the designs really embody the characters.

Now that you mention it yeah it does. My dad and I went to a showing of his at a gallery in town a few years ago. He got a painting commissioned and had a photograph signed. Him at my age wearing one of Peter's shirt designs.
