Some of their releases are region-locked, others are region free. You're probably safe with the ones sold by B&N, otherwise double-check the region details.

Go to the Details tab on each page and look under Region Code. If it says free, you're good.

(Also, I heartily advise going region free. I'd say nearly a quarter of my collection is region blocked.)

Region Free is the way all serious film collectors should be. It often enables you to get movies long OOP in your region, often in a better format with a neat special edition.

I made the switch when I started collecting Arrow (about a year before they had a prominent US output)

Absolutely. Other great video labels in the UK include Secondrun (Arrow has some of their discs included in their sale), Masters of Cinema (the Brit Criterion, basically), Artificial Eye, and BFI's output.

Agreed!

I'd add Third Window and Eureka to that list too.

Oh right, I think Masters of Cinema is really just a subset of Eureka.

I believe you're right. I even have their release of the Lost Weekend (haven't watched it yet. Planning a Wilder binge).

Oh, we're pretending that you're not buying both? Cute.

They'll look nice next to your copy of Crash... the Paul Haggis film.
