Wolf of the Winter wrote:No. The best is in a show that will appear on this list... twice.
Anyway, I do have very fond memories of this show, my favorite perhaps is in an episode where Dale, after a fight with Chip leaves the group and for some reason he ends up suffering retrograde amnesia, which Fat Cat takes advantage of, turning him into RamDale. Pure brilliance.
Twice? I must see this!

Probably you've already had the pleasure.

25. Kim Possible.

The show: At first, I thought this was a show only for girls, so I didn't bother for a while... that was a mistake, this show is just awesome, even if Drakken is aparently a retard or something, fortunately Shego was always to bring the awesome. I want a naco.
The opening: Pam-pam-param. That little gadget I'll never forget and that's not because my sister plays this intro in a constant fashion, is simply because this theme is awesome.

24. Tiny Toon Adventures.

The show: The first of all the Spielberg's big hits. This show was, just... wow. I still watch it from time to time.
The opening: We're tiny, we're looney... Another tune very memorable and I could see Plucky's big head coming from the typing machine scaring himself all day.

Great idea for a thread.

However, Robot Chicken's opening can't touch Ducktales.

It's a possibility. Now I regret the order again. Scrubs and RC's should've been lower, TRAOJQ should've been higher. Damn.

23. Freakazoid

The show: A similar formula, as Tiny Toon, Animaniacs and Pinky & the Brain, but who cares... it still worked incredibly. I love seeing him "fly".
The opening: Instead of saying why do I like it, I'll give you this part of the lyrics:
He's here to save the nation
So stay tuned to this station
If not, we'll be unemployed
Freakazoid! Freakazoid!
Freakazoid!!!

Freakazoid was fucking amazing. Not as amazing as Animaniacs though. I hope to see Animaniacs here...in spanish.

22. Epitafios (first season).

The show: This is one of my favorites ever. Imagine an Argentine, HBO-made Se7en with a terrific noirish look, good performers all over the place, an excellent score by Iván Wyszogrod, the quality you can expect from HBO and one of the best villains I've ever seen on TV. A masterpiece.
The opening: The images you see in this intro do three things in spades:
1. They get you, with the help of the music to get in the mood of the show.
2. Starts the noirish atmosphere (I specially love a shot of a man with a cigarette here, it's awesome).
3. With some creepy imaginery, like those photos with people's faces marked with a sharpie to all the main characters looking distorted by those squares, it puts you a little into the mind of this mysterious killer.
I feel like I'm in this river, just getting swept along, and if I hold to anyone, if I'm holding on for dear life, I'm not getting anywhere, I'm stuck... I never wanted to get stuck...

#. Are You Afraid of the Dark?

The show: Some kids gather around a fire telling horror stories, some very good and others very bad.
The intro: Creepier than most of the stories told by those kids.

There were some references in the show so great that, even though my child mind didn't know what the hell they were, I still remember them and finally found their meaning.

For example, the Scorsese statue at the park and various guest appearences.

Great show.

21. Superman: The Animated Series.

The show: My least favorite of those DC shows, probably because Superman is my least favorite superhero. The show is still good.
The intro: The song embodies everything that Superman is and should be. The end with Lex hitting his desk and then it cuts to a machine exploding is unintentionally hilarious.

20. El Vuelo del Águila.

The show: An historic Mexican soap opera about the life of Porfirio Díaz going through his childhood, his ascent to hero at Puebla (5 de Mayo), how he became Mexico's President for more than 30 years (El Porfiriato) and his downfall on the Mexican revolution that I saw when I was in fourth or fifth grade along with my family. Good, interesting stuff.
The intro: Is on the list simply for the theme, for that amazing Morriconesque theme. Incredible.

19. Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron (S1).

The show: One of my childhood favorites, is about two badass pilots who were kicked out from the enforcers and forced to be mechanics, but of course, with them being so badass, they use all the junk surrounding them to built the most badass jet ever and become vigilantes. Sounds awesome, but it could get boring without some good villains and supporting characters, good thing the show has them. The mayor makes me laugh sometimes, Feral is a good asshole and Callie could get anyone into furries.
The opening: This intro screams one thing and one thing only: Badass. Pure, crystal clear badassery. I mean, just to see that gorgeusly made dinosaur come into Megakat City and destroy shit, then T-Bone and Razor are badass (really, just looking T-Bone preparing his claw) and that music. Badass, badass badass!

#. Thundercats.

The show: The feline badassery continues. I personally don't remember much from the plot, but I do remember a lot of awesome action, and the theme song, and Cheetarah is a babe.
The intro: Thunder! Thunder!! Thunder!!! Thundercats!!!! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Now there's something that I watched religiously. Most of my friends were He-Man or She-Ra fans, but me, (and I did like He-Man) I was a bigger Thundercats fan.

I had this when I was a kid.

BWAHAHAHAHAH!! That was great.
I prefer the sketch where they show where did they (along with other nostalgia cartoon characters) go after the show.

#. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

The show: Probably the most homoerotic cartoon ever, I mean, he becomes He-Man and all of a sudden is a super-hunky man in a loincloth... and all of a sudden tanned? Oh, and Skeletor shouldn't hire retards to work for him.
The intro: It would be awesome if it didn't have that much exposition, I mean, they practically gave the whole show there! Oh, and also I choose the Spanish intro because the English voice makes He-Man even gayer.

True, but there's something cathartic in watching Snarf die. I hate that fucker.

18. ER.

The show: It's pure awesome until Anthony Edwards leaves. And I hope the guy who killed Paul McCrane's character with a vengative helicopter doesn't write again.
The intro: The music and the filter make it feel like an actual hospital. And those are the characters I actually gave a damn during the show run. I'd let Mark Greene be my doctor.

Wash that stink with ER's first episode. One of the best pilots ever.

17. Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.

The show: I need to watch it the way it's supposed to be.
The opening: Shit, hardest credits to find so far. Stupid Buffy fans and their stupid fan-videos. The music is kickass. Like Buffy Summers.

16. Pinky and The Brain.

The show: "Brain, did you know zort backwards is troz?"
The intro: Pretty awesome as always. The narf at the end always brings a chuckle to my face.

I know next to nothing about Buffy but I'm fluent in Pinky & the Brain.

Ditto. Ok, I lie, I've seen some Buffy episodes and most of Angel.
